1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Trigzi application and website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Trigzi Is
Trigzi provides general information and educational ratings about foods and ingredients — such as processing level, estimated glycaemic load, fermentable-carbohydrate (FODMAP) indicators, and similar measures — derived from ingredient lists, nutrition panels, and published scientific models. Every rating is a transparent estimate you can inspect down to the underlying algorithm. Trigzi is an information tool, and nothing more.
3. Not Medical or Dietary Advice
The Service is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified healthcare professional.
- Ratings are general population estimates. They are not personalised to you and do not predict how any food will affect your body.
- Do not use Trigzi to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition.
- Do not use Trigzi to determine medication or insulin dosing, or as a substitute for carbohydrate counting.
- If you have diabetes, a food allergy, an intolerance, or any other health condition, rely on the physical product label and the advice of your doctor, dietitian, or diabetes educator — not on a Trigzi rating.
- Always read the actual product packaging for allergen and ingredient information before consuming any food.
Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you have read in the Service. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.
4. Accuracy and No Warranty
Trigzi draws on third-party data sources and algorithmic estimates. This information may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect, and product formulations change without notice. Ratings carry inherent uncertainty and are deliberately coarse. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Where a food's ingredients or label matter to your health, verify them against the physical packaging.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to: misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service; reverse engineer or extract its datasets other than as permitted by law; use automated means to harvest data at scale; or rely on the Service in any situation where an error could result in harm.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by Trigzi and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Third-Party Data
Some ratings incorporate third-party datasets, including public food databases and published glycaemic-index data. Those datasets remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their respective terms and licences. Trigzi makes no claim of ownership over third-party source data.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trigzi and its contributors will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any rating it provides. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the resupply of the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tasmania, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
